Are you 20 years old yet suffer from severe back ache? Or you are just 18 and have pimples all over your face? Or you are overweight or underweight and don’t know how to get perfect? Then Anita’s yoga class is the summit for all issues. For every physical, emotional, psychological and social problem that youngsters face today, Anita says, “Yoga is the best or the only remedy for a healthy life, a balanced mind and a rational approach towards the challenging lifestyle.”
A professional yoga instructor, Anita Raisinghani, has been conducting yoga classes at her residence since 7 years and now has classes at Urban Community Development Centre (UCDC) too. And more than an instructor, Anita is like a happy go lucky friend with all her students as she interacts, counsels and helps her students with whatever difficulty they face. For youngsters, she is the best person to talk to when in depression, caught up in dilemma, having to make a decision or a firm choice; just go to Anita and definitely she will come up with the simplest solution.
With the lifestyles that the youth live in today, it is difficult to maintain health. There is really no time for exercise! Junk food, odd work timings, varied sleep cycles, overtime of work, pressure of the competitive world, multiple career choices and burden of studies often drain the youth both physically and mentally. Anita says “The youth are the future of tomorrow; the pioneers of change and I am concerned about their well being.”
Weight: So, be it weight loss, weight gain, skin issues, hair problems or muscular pain, yoga can trigger the problem right at the root and solve it. Anita confidently assures, “If done religiously, within one month you yourself can experience the difference.” For toning down and getting your body in shape, Anita believes that 3-6 months of yoga can do the magic. She admits, “It can reduce your fat and tone your body in shape provided you practice yoga diligently. Also, it can help you gain weight if the diet is followed regularly.” And unlike other places, Anita’s diet is quite simple and wholly natural with no toxins at all.
Vinita Jeswani, a 25 years old PR consultant, says, “Anita’s class guarantees weight loss and better health as it brings back the energy, flexibility and confidence that we often lose in our time consuming work culture.”
Skin: Yoga can make your skin glow and clean it by removing all the toxins and heat. Pimples, boils, dark circles, cracks, wrinkles, spots are all present on our skin due to the junk we eat and drink. However, as yoga churns the heat out of the body, these toxins are eliminated as you perspire during yoga and also maintain a natural diet.
Arti Ashwin, a Fashion Marketing professional, says, “The best part of Anita’s yoga classes is the personal attention given to every student. And this is what sets her apart, for I have been attending different yoga centres in Mumbai but have not been as happy as I am at Anita’s classes.”
Hair: Hair, nails, eyesight are strengthened due to various Pranayams of yoga. Anita believes, “We can improve every part of the body naturally. As we often don’t pay attention to these parts, they go on rusting but yoga rejuvenates the whole being both internally and externally.
Muscles: ‘It is always better to be healthy rather than just being fit’ and yoga is the traditional form that strengthens your muscles, makes you flexible, relaxes your joints and improves your breathing. Anita says, “The breathing exercises in yoga energises all the body functions and refreshes the mind by calming down the body.” Her 23 year old son, Vishesh Raisinghani, is also a professional yoga instructor who believes that yoga can help build muscles and abs as it is a complete exercise of the body. Moreover, after gym you may feel fatigue and tired, but after yoga you feel fresh and energised. That’s the difference!
Anita says, “Often, all the problems begin in the mind; if we think we can’t do it, then we really can’t.” Our mind has immense power and yoga helps to channelise this power. Meditation and mudras help to control the mind by relaxing and clearing the thought process. The continuous chants help to attain a peaceful state where the mind can be channelised; negative thoughts are removed and positivity is filled. Depression, anger, fatigue, anxiety, fear, decision making, low self esteem are all tackled as yoga transforms a disturbed weak mind into an ideal controlled one.
Vriddhi Maria, 19 years old, says, “I always thought yoga was a very serious thing with a lot of silence but after joining Anita’s classes my perception has changed. Anita has resumed the role of a mother in my life. She has taught me to face anything in life. The way she teaches yoga is way different and considerably interesting.”
Anita’s yoga classes are not boring and serious as there is a lot of interaction and personal communication that happens. Moreover, Anita has young students from all demanding career backgrounds like media, fashion, finance, business and so on. And, these young souls feel energised to work 24×7 just due to few hours of Yoga.
As youngsters we need to question ourselves – are we really young? Are we physically and mentally fit to the optimum? If not, then we need to identify the problem and the solution is all set in the simple form of an overall remedy-Yoga!
