The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai’s premier arts and cultural institution, has collaborated with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Westside to bring back its cherished annual outreach initiative, NCPA@ThePark. Kicking off on November 9th at the stunning Bandra Fort Amphitheatre, NCPA@ThePark will bring vibrant performances to various parks across the city every weekend until March of the following year.
This community-centered program aims to create a unique cultural experience in Mumbai’s iconic outdoor spaces, offering the city’s residents and visitors an engaging blend of live performances in natural, scenic settings. Imagine enjoying spectacular events in a serene setting—free of cost!
It’s an unmissable experience with a dynamic mix of art forms, including Indian classical dance, contemporary theatre, Indian music, and the best of jazz, blues, and western classical compositions, highlighting diverse talents. Through this initiative, NCPA aims to make the magic of performing arts more accessible to people from every walk of life and seeks to nurture a culture of artistic appreciation while strengthening community bonds through shared experiences.
NCPA@thePark on Saturday, November 9 at the Bandra Fort Amphitheatre will begin with singer Vishwajeet Borwankar’s performance. The Mumbai-based vocalist and composer will present a concert of Bollywood classics, folk, Sufi, fusion, and contemporary music. Dominique-N-Jazz Republic will take the evening forward with Dominique Cerejo on vocals, Rahul Wadhwani on keyboards, Shashank Das on bass, and Adrian D’souza on drums to present an eclectic mix of classic jazz tunes including swing, bossa nova, and samba rhythms.
