Caché, the Arts and Crafts Gallery, a leading exhibition and a socially conscious gallery located in Bandra, is organizing an exhibition with three NGOs – Aseema, Helen Keller Institute for Deaf & Deafblind & Women’s India Trust (WIT) – from 1st – 6th December 2020 (both days included).

Aseema Charitable Trust

Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai-based NGO dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children from marginalised communities through education. Our mission is to equip them with high quality and value-based education enabling the development of their limitless potential. Seeing visitors appreciating and purchasing office and home products made by children instils a sense of pride and achievement among them.

Proceeds from the sale will help fund Aseema’s school programs. The artwork you choose can be put on a wide range of products – barring plastic and leather items in our constant endeavour to remain environmentally friendly – such as planners, desktop items, accessories, stationery and home decor articles. Today, Aseema has over 3,000 children pursuing formal education in Mumbai and Igatpuri.

Helen Keller Institute for Deaf and Deafblind (Vocational Training Center)

Students at the Helen Keller Institute for Deaf & Deafblind have imparted training based on their abilities and creativity. They are taught to make candles, paper and jute bags, envelopes, trays and frames, dried candied food products using solar power, etc. All items made as part of their training are sold at exhibitions to generate revenue. Our aim is to provide them with skills that can be used for their financial independence. Their competence is developed in order to establish their own enterprise or work with someone from the field and create a livelihood.

Women’s India Trust (WIT)

Women’s India Trust is a registered charitable organisation established by Ms Kamila Tyabji in 1968. WIT believes in transforming the lives of the less privileged & resource-poor communities together with preserving the handicraft heritage of India. We engage women gifted with creativity and imagination in honing their skills leading to the creation of livelihood opportunities. All products are designed and hand-crafted by women, and extra care is taken to ensure high-quality of the raw materials and the finishing of each product at every stage of production. The handmade products we present through this platform spring from efforts towards changing lives in changing times.

Every purchase you make supports the underprivileged in society.
