R.D. & S.H. National College’s BMM Department is back with the 14th edition of its media festival, Cutting Chai. In these unprecedented times where everything is shut down and people are heavily dependent on the internet and the digital world, Cutting Chai is now joining the bandwagon and adding a new twist to their 3 days (18th – 20th February) fairy tale which will be partly online.
This fest is for the students, by the students and also properly managed by the students of Mass Media. In January the core reveal was done on social media where the head of the various departments and the Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons were acknowledged. Under these people, are their department members working tirelessly to achieve the brilliance which Cutting Chai always shows, despite the situations.
This year might have given people a lot of bad news but Cutting Chai being cancelled was a nightmare for the students but with accurate planning and heavy precautions comes the good news which makes every student of Mass Media in Mumbai rejoice and ecstatic.
Just like every year, the students come up with a peculiar theme, this time they came back with a spacious boom “Cosmo Chailestial Conquest”. From the name itself, it’s clear that the conquest is taken to the next level, in the universe.
The exciting part of the theme would be the contingents acting, performing and dressing up according to it which might seem a bit difficult online but the planning has been done and solutions have been found.
The start might seem a bit scary at first but Cutting Chai has always managed to prove their worth and the reason why it’s one of the biggest media festivals in the city. With the new experience and the exciting event, this year’s Cutting Chai would go to the moon and back.
