A new joint started by the Anil D’souza with the sheer support of his family, The Family Table is a one-stop destination to have good food along with some quality time with your family and friends.

Fresh and Good quality food
Focussing on fresh and good quality food, The Family Table serves a wide range starting from fries, cupcakes, wraps to juices. D’souza says, “The menu is only going to grow. We are going to get our homemade food soon. We started with Chicken but we will expand to other kinds of meat and vegetables alike. We aim to serve the kind of food that Bandra eats irrespective of their age because we have customers of all age groups.”

We make our own bread
With imported bread makers, ovens and cookers from Germany and Italy, this joint bakes their own bread. Valentine Pereira, manager of the joint who also manages outdoor catering services, says, “We make our own bread which is soft and bigger in size. We sell it for the maker price of Rs 4. We have imported ovens and other appliances because we believe in cleanliness, good quality and fresh food.”

Food service industry is a learning experience
Stephanie D’souza, daughter of Anil D’souza, who manages the joint claims that working in the food service industry is a learning experience. Stephanie says, “We meet different kinds of customers every day. We learn to greet them with a smile and deal with their queries. At the end of the day, we want to provide them with good service through good food. I have grown and learnt a lot by managing this joint.”

We are new and, we are here to serve and grow
Anil D’souza who also runs Joseph’s Cold storage has been in the industry for over 25 years. His brothers manage the famous Joseph’s Chinese kitchen while his sister and younger brother manage the Indian and Tandoori kitchen. D’souza says, “I started this place with no money in my pocket. But my family members helped me throughout my journey. My wife Sandra D’souza has been a strong support. It is so enriching to see my children, nephews and nieces who come along and help in cooking or managing the joint wherever they have free time. The Family Table is literally a combined effort of the family. God is on our side and we are content with our business.”

Treat your staff well, pay decent salaries
“We are nothing without our staff,” says D’souza who strongly believes in taking care of his staff. D’souza says, “I want to urge and request all my fellow partners to treat their staff well. We are nothing without our staff. We should treat all our staff well, greet them with a smile, understand their needs and above all pay them decent salaries. They work for long hours and come from far off places, and they do it all for us so we have to treat them well.”

D’souza treats all of his staff and customers with a smile as he manages Joseph’s Kitchen and a cold storage in Bandra along with The Family Table. The joint also has various discounts on their freshly prepared food items along with the 50 per cent discount after 9 pm every day.
