Rishabh was working as a Sr Marketing Position at an MNC and passed out from an IIT. Nandini had worked at JSW and was pursuing her acting career. They were friends for six years but what held them together was their common philosophy of life and more importantly their love for coffee. They travelled over India across hundreds of Coffee Shop for one good cup of Coffee.
Later the Curious Case of Coffee led them to travel to Asia’s Largest and scenic Coffee producing Gardens of Chikmagalur and Coorg in Karnataka to Yercaud in Tamil Nadu to Wayanad in Kerala. The years of passion towards coffee made them to learn the process of coffee making from scratch. Spending weeks in Coffee Estates across India on Hand Picking Coffee Cherries to Getting top Graded Green Beans to Artistically Roasting to Grounding it and Brewing it, they all did it by themselves.
Rishabh says “The Cafes in India are selling Ambience more than the Product itself. The coffee experience is equally important. So we invest our time equally in building our product.” When asked how Toffee is different from other Cafe, Nandini says “We’re one of the few Cafe in India who roast their own Coffee. For the best taste Coffee should be consumed within 2-10 days of roasting. From Hand Picking beans from Asia’s best Coffee producing Gardens to roasting to grounding to brewing it, Toffee does it all by themselves.” They’ve coupled their Coffee with awesome Italian, Continental Food and Fingerlicking Desserts.
