MCGM collaborates with Holy Family Hospital to run their new Quarantine Centre

In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) converted the building opp. Poddar School on S.V. Road in Khar west which was originally reserved for a maternity home – into a 10-bedded quarantine facility. Since the building was lying idle, Mr Vinayak Vispute, Assistant Municipal Commissioner of H-West ward requested Holy Family Hospital to help them open this Quarantine Centre.

Mr Vispute said, “Holy Family Hospital agreed to collaborate with MCGM by providing its medical staff, paramedical doctors, nurses, medical equipment, biomedical waste management, catering services (for its staff and the centre) and security. In return, MCGM has agreed to pay Holy Family Hospital for their services.

Mr Vispute concluded, “The Quarantine Centre boasts of 10 beds and is now fully equipped for admission of the COVID-19 patients and thanked Mr Asif Zakaria, Corporator for helping MCGM to get this Quarantine Centre established.”
