Fr. Agnel Ashram was founded on the 9th of June, 1957 by Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues at Bandstand. Prior to the Ashram, the premises was a bungalow owned by Nani & Mehra Moos.
It began as an orphanage and a trade school in carpentry, which expanded into a full-fledged Industrial Training Institute, a Polytechnic, and an Engineering College besides providing general educational services by way of a High School and a Higher Secondary School.
It has a small shrine dedicated to Ven. Fr. Agnel De Souza, a saintly Goan priest.
