One person died & five others injured after the wall of a four-storey building collapsed on an adjoining two-storey house at Razzak chawl, Kherwadi road, Bandra (East) at 1:45 am on Monday, June 7.
As per a BMC official, “A total of 11 people were rescued by the fire brigade and another 6 by the locals.”
The injured were rushed to Bhabha Hospital, Bandra and VN Desai Hospital, Santa Cruz.
28-year-old Riyaz Ahmad was declared dead on arrival at VN Desai Hospital. Doctors said that the condition of the injured identified as Nural Haq Haidar Ali Sayyad (21), Salman Atik Khan (24), Rahul Mohan Khot (22), Rohan Mohan Khot (22) and Lata Mohan Khot (48) is stable.
