RD National College inaugurated the Dhanwantari Medicinal Plant Garden cum permanent exhibition of 250 species of plants

As a part of the “Swachh Campus Campaign” launched by the R.D. and S.H. National College in the academic year 2021-22 and in alignment with Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission and Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav, they’ve developed the Dhanwantari Medicinal Plant Garden cum permanent exhibition of approximately 250 species of plants in collaboration with Sushila Ayurveda Hospital & Research Centre, Nashik. A permanent exhibition of Plant-based artefacts ‘Showcasing Rural Indian Art & Craft in all its Splendour’ in the Institute’s Herbarium, RDNCP. This initiative is an awareness drive, a part of our Swachh Campus Campaign to promote sustainable development. This initiative will help create awareness about medicinal plants amongst students and others from different lifestyles.

The inauguration of the Dhanwantari Medicinal Plant Garden was done by the hands of Shri. Jayant Rajaram Patil, Minister of Water Resources and Command Area Development, Government of Maharashtra with great pride, honour and privilege in the august presence of Adv. Anil Harish, President & Trustee, HSNC Board, Shri Kishu Mansukhani, Past President & Trustee, HSNC Board & Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Provost, HSNC University at our institute’s aforementioned campus.
