The term inclusion / inclusive has been gaining substantial prominence. It represents the evolving nature of an awakened society. A concept that everyone aspires to relate with and implement. However, beyond the frequent application of the word; the instances that mirror the definition of the concept are rather rare to come by. Therefore ‘Samaavesh’ proves to be an ideal example of the true meaning of the concept. An Inclusion event for the differently abled. ‘Samaavesh’ is being organised by HWCT India Foundation (Human Welfare Charitable Trust) in association with Rotary Clubs of RI District 3141 along with several NGO Partners under the platform of “Able to Ability”.
Able to Ability was started in December 2019 with a vision to empower and enable differently-abled youth and adults through vocational training, employment or entrepreneurial opportunity. Rtn. AV Suresh – Project Director – Able to Ability elaborates on the initiative “Recognizing and respecting differences in others, and treating everyone like you want them to treat you, will help make our world a better place for everyone.”
‘Samaavesh’ takes place at Bandra Fort, Band Stand on the 15th of January, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm. Aiming to promote a deeper understanding of the challenges faced, the event also sheds light on the resilience and sheer willpower of differently abled individuals to lead a normal lifestyle. Furthermore, it also speaks volumes about the importance of the integration of differently-abled persons in every aspect of life, such as political, social and economic.
Speaking about the event, Kalpesh Kabra, Founder and CEO – of HWCT India Foundation states “Samaavesh is a small step to show the importance of inclusion and the capabilities of differently abled individuals. Together we can do so much more in making the lives easier for persons in our communities. We invite you to be a part of this noble cause which will impact many lives.”
‘Samaavesh’ will provide a platform for the differently abled participants to showcase their talents in sports, music concerts by HWCT India Foundation and Nishad Entertainment, as well as a fashion show by MANN Foundation. Some of the sporting events that are scheduled to take place include Wheelchair Cricket, Wheelchair Basketball & Wheelchair Badminton conducted by the Wheelchair Sports Association.
Initiatives such as ‘Samaavesh’ will aid and accentuate the inclusion of differently abled individuals in society, here by developing a culture of support, as well as a better employment ratio. Entry to the event will be free and open to all, and while you support and cheer the participants, one can also relish the offerings of various food counters, which will be hosted by the participating NGOs.
HWCT is also looking forward to the participation of volunteers, as well as sponsors for this noble cause interested parties can connect with them at [email protected]
