Vinayak Vispute, Assistant Commissioner H/west ward has directed all markets, market areas and shops in Bandra (West), Khar (West) and Santa Cruz (West) will remain open between 9am to 5pm from Friday, 5th June 2020 except malls and market complexes. All shops will remain closed on Sunday. Shops on both side of the road lane, passage are allowed to be open on alternate days. Shopkeepers will be responsible for ensuring social distancing norms. If social distancing rules are flouted, authorities will have the power to close the shops/market.
- Shops on East side of North-South Road – Odd dates.
- Shops on West side of North-South Road – Even dates.
- Shops on North side of East-West Road – Odd dates.
- Shops on South side of East-West – Even dates.
Guidelines & Directives for shopkeepers to spread of Covid-19 that
- They will ensure the wearing of face cover (mask), hand glove (Employer and Employees)
- They will ensure wearing face cover by customer.
- They shall ensure social distancing as per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
- They will take measures such as foot marking on the floor, token system, home delivery, etc.
- They will not allow gathering of 5 or more persons.
- They will take care of the provision of Thermal scanning, hand wash, sanitizer preferably with the touch-free mechanism at entry and exit points and common areas.
- They will also keep the sufficient stock of hand wash and sanitizer in the shop premises.
- They will also ensure frequent sanitization in the shop premises and all points which come into human contact i.e. doors, handles, etc.
- They will not use the trial room in the shop and will not permit an exchange & return policy.
- They will ensure that no person or employee above 65 years of age, a person with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years to work in shop premises.
- They will keep shop close if subsequently the area is declared as Containment Zone.
- They will not sale the product other than MRP mentioned on the product.
For sealed buildings irrespective whether the floors or the building is sealed, only essential activities shall be allowed. The SOPs for the sealed buildings already issued on 13th May 2020 will continue to be effective.
