While the entire world is at a standstill, St. Andrew’s College is working towards shaping the future of education by recognising and encouraging excellence in academics as well as cultural and sports activities.
With the glorious campus empty and our family of over 4000 Andreans locked up in their houses, The Public Relations Team and the very own talent management organisation of St. Andrew’s College; Andrean Talent Hub has come up with an online talent hunt for their students for the very first time to exhibit their skills from the safety of their homes.
The name of the event, “Talentine” is a portmanteau of the two words, ‘Talent’ and ‘Quarantine’ which laid its foundation and illustrates the motto behind its inception. It is a friendly online platform that discovers talent and provides recognition to its participants. The forum will act as a conduit carrying the students’ aspirations to its actualisation even in the middle of a pandemic.
Perceptivity, Imagination, Artistry and Fellowship are the pillars of Talentine!
The doors of Talentine are all set to open on the 2nd of August with “COWID-Come on Write It Down” a creative writing competition inspired by the new normal that the world copes with due to COVID-19. The students would be encouraged to write micro-tales expressing how the pandemic has affected their lives and the world at large.
The Performing Artists have taken the hardest blow due to the pandemic. To keep them inspired and motivated, Team Talentine has decided to highlight music, dance and drama, each category will be judged by artists flourishing in their respective fields.
Participants would be asked to submit videos of performances, shot in the security of their homes in order to comply with the lockdown rules and ensure their safety.
Along with a grand cash prize, the winners of each section would be featured on the official Instagram page of St. Andrews College.
Stay tuned for more from Talentine!
