It’s not often that we hear about Investment professionals leaving Wall Street & exploring rustic India in search of ‘what makes people happy & healthy’. Dimple Jangda was the founder of a boutique investment banking firm advising on cross border Mergers and Acquisitions in the infrastructure sector, for clients in New York City. She left this lucrative position to follow her gut. Coupled with her quest for happiness, some health issues of her’s & family members led Dimple to explore traditional medicine and its holistic solutions for better living. After having convinced that Indian traditional medicine has unfathomed potential to cure many of our modern health issues, she decided to start a healthcare centre which combines care, cure, wellness and good lifestyle habits. Dimple is an Ayurveda evangelist now – with patients from all over the world coming to her Prana Healthcare Centre located at the heart of Bandra.

Moving away from the spa-based & inauthentic ayurvedic practices, Prana tries to find a holistic connection between Ayurveda, Naturopathy, modern medicine & other healing methods. As Dimple puts it, “Prana aims to bring back ‘health, happiness & peace’ to your lives”. Dimple’s centre – marries 5000-year-old traditional Ayurveda with modern research-based science to validate the effectiveness of Ayurvedic methods, and find healthcare solutions through a holistic approach of medicines, ayurvedic diet and treatments, lifestyle changes, yoga and fitness, healing, and counselling as and where required. Dimple has a tip for Bandra Buzz readers on how to have a healthier lifestyle & energy-filled days. “Try to wake up around 5-7 am every day & meditate or pursue some mild exercise. Have three cups of fluids like water, coconut water or lemon water based on your body type. One could also try herbal tea. After that, it’s a good time to take fruits & this can be followed by cooked breakfast. The biggest meal of the day should be from 10 am to 2 pm as metabolic processes are at its peak during that time. It’s good to have fruits again in the afternoon around 4 pm – not juices or smoothies, but whole fruits. It’s better to have dinner before sunset, preferably a light dinner, satiating about 80% of one’s hunger. If you feel hungry & if you are not lactose intolerant, you can have a glass of organic A2 milk sourced from cruelty-free animal rescue farms, at bedtime with a teaspoon of ghee for colon health, or turmeric for immunity or a pinch of nutmeg for good sleep.”

Dimple welcomes everyone to experience the power of Ayurveda at Prana. The treatment packages start at Rs 1900 & there are detox treatments, massages & so on as per the diseases. For Christmas & New Year’s, the clinic offers a 20% discount on the first Abhyangam massage. For more details on personalised diets, healthcare packages & treatments, readers may contact Prana.

What past patients and students have to say about Prana,

“I have been suffering acute gut health, bloating and related issues since 2012. Tried Allopathy for resolving the issues but to no avail. Now it’s all resolved thanks for detox treatment done at Prana Healthcare Centre. Kudos to Ayurveda and Prana Healthcare Centre for restoring health using Ayurveda”
Samirah Shaikh, Spanish Language Professional – Mumbai

“Dimple and I were meant to meet. She kindly offered to look after me at Prana after noticing on social media that my health wasn’t getting better. Her Ayurvedic doctors and therapists are welcoming and very competent but the best part is Dimple’s ability to intuitively suss you out and put you on the path of recovery straight away with the most genuine and kind-hearted approach. Her diagnosis was spot on and my diet/treatment plan for me, got me back on the training floor working within a week.”
