And you can find a 8 feet tall Christmas tree, (you can also demand for a 15 feet tall one as they can customise it for you), a snow man, illuminating reindeer, rotating trees, snowball lights and cribs of various sizes. Also, there are spare statues of all the crib characters and the prominent baby Jesus in various sizes. As they have been displaying their store exclusively for Christmas since 15 years in Bandra, every item guarantees quality and long life term. The owner Victor Pasan says, “We come to Bandra all the way from Chennai only for Christmas and all our products are manufactured and imported.” Raave also, has a lot of décor items especially with lights and snowflakes.
Wax House
If you want to enhance your Christmas with a unique set of characters then Wax House has got Cupids, Standing Angels, Tree Top Angels, Santa broaches and a variety of stars. The owner, Anjali Satish Dhanuka, says, “We make most of the décor our self and import the rest.” They too have been in Bandra for over 40 years and carry out this business as their tradition to spread the joy of Christmas.
Mota’s
Mota’s is regarded as ‘The party Kingdom’ of Bandra. And for Christmas, Mota’s has a variety of décor materials with innovations. You can find the 6 feet tall 3D Christmas tree which is also available in other sizes exclusively only over there. There are other 3D items like reindeer, sledge, stars, hats and creative items like the special Christmas Bobble, wall hangings, LED ball, LED lights, colourful streamers and Christmas tree. Being in this business for over 50-60 years in Bandra itself, Mota’s is a well-known shop that specialises in exclusive stuff. The owner Rajiv Shah says, “We have customers coming from far and wide just to buy unique items that you may not find anywhere else. As we customise most of our items, the quality is maintained and innovations are added.”

A bunch of streamers that you have seen before, candles that portray the Christmas theme which can be gifted too and white snow-clad Christmas tree, snowman, snowflakes are some of the distinct decorative items that you can find at 787. Also, unique items like dancing and singing Christmas tree, a singing Santa, and glass cribs are also displayed along with a special gift bag at this store. Salim, the storekeeper, says, “The colourful paper bags can be used to gift things during Christmas.”
Also, there are local outlets on the road that display a variety of articles like Ring caps, Santa mask and creative stars and lights that you may not find in any big store. One such outlet is just outside St. Joseph School at Hill Road which is managed by Taher Arsiwala and Mustafa Bharmal. Selling decorations since around 10 years in Bandra during Christmas, Taher says, “We have our own unique materials and every year we add something new.”
And how can we forget, the Crib seller who displays his materials just outside St. Peter’s Church. If you need to buy Statues, crib, baby Jesus or wreath, just walk at this place and you may get a good pick at a reasonable price.
